Hello to everybody!
My name is Guna and I come from Latvia - a tiny country in Europe; Latvia is one of the three Baltic States - Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
Whenever I tell people where I come from they usually have problems to illustrate in their minds where it is. So, if you are one of them, look at the map below :)
The fact that Latvia is maybe not as popular as other European countries is a consequence of our complicated history: Latvia is an independent country since 1990 (only 20 years)! We have been a part of Germany and twice a part of Russia (Soviet Union).
However, Latvia is a very beautiful place and is worth visiting! Especially our capital - Riga (Rīga in Latvian), which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Riga is particularly notable for its extensive Jugendstyle architecture, which UNESCO considers to be unparalleled anywhere in the world.

And now a few words about me:
In summer 2010, I graduated from University of Latvia with a bachelor degree in Business Administration. In the last 2 years of my studies there was an emphasis on Hotel and Tourism Management, which leads me to my future desired professional field. The current studies at EuroMPM have helped me to 'shorten' my future perspectives; I have understood that working in tourism oriented projects could be something for me.
I have spent 2 exchange semesters in Germany - in Erfurt and Rostock - where I had the opportunity to meet other students from all over the world (as in EuroMPM) and learn more about cross-cultural communication and how to work cooperate with people with different cultural backgrounds. This experience has also taught me that being a part of an international project is a dream of mine too.
In my free time I like to take German language courses, do sports (indoor cycling, aerobics, swimming...) and read interesting books.
